In diesem dynamischen Musical steht für die Bewohner von Bikini Bottom mehr denn als je zuvor auf dem Spiel, denn SpongeBob und die anderen Bewohner der Unterwasserwelt sehen der totalen Zerstörung ihrer Heimat ins Auge.

Das Chaos bricht aus, es geht um Leben und Tod. Leben hängen in der Schwebe. Und gerade, als alle Hoffnung verloren scheint, betritt ein höchst unerwarteter Held die Bühne. Die Kraft des Optimismus kann die Welt tatsächlich retten!

Das SPONGEBOB MUSICAL basiert auf der beliebten Zeichentrickserie von Stephen Hillenburg mit einem Buch von Kyle Jarrow und Original-Songs von Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler und Joe Perry (Aerosmith), Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert (Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros), The Flaming Lips, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T's, They Might Be Giants und T.I. und Lieder von David Bowie, Tom Kenny und Andy Paley.
