Geschrieben während Jeremy O. Harris' erstem Jahr an der Yale Drama School, feierte SLAVE PLAY seine Off-Broadway-Premiere beim New York Theatre Workshop am 19. November 2018 in einer Produktion unter der Regie von Robert O'Hara. Am 6. Oktober 2019 eröffnete SLAVE PLAY am Broadway im John Golden Theatre, wiederum unter der Regie von O'Hara.

Dustin – 28, a white man but the lowest type of white -- dingy, an off-white. Gary – 27, a dark, black man whose life has been lived with the full trauma of his color.
